This Photax is the last son of the family. One is well far from the class of the precedent, Photax V. Ici, the plastic partly replaced bakelite and the fluid lines left room to brutal angles, as if there had been a great return behind, at the time of first Photax, of Lec, the MIOM 4,5 X 6.
This camera is one 6 X 6. The shutter (“true jewel of mechanics by its precision and its solidity”) allows the 1/100, the 1/25 second and the time exposure. The lens is Heanar appeared in 1955 with Photax V and manufactured by Angénieux (factory with Saint Heand. Heand…. Heanar).
The camera launched in 1960. Is this the fact that it is one 620 to one time when the fashion was with the slide color 24 X 36 which explains why it had little success and is disappeared less than two years after its launch?
